As much as we ladies like to think the wedding day is all about us, it can't be a one-woman show. All too often the focus of the big day is only on the bride and what she needs, but your knight in shining army deserves a little love too. And nothing will give his ego that much-needed lift better than some good ol' fashioned pampering from the woman who won his heart over.
Here are 5 ways to show your groom he's still the center of your attention while also supporting him in going green:

1. Spoil him with his own eco conscious tuxedo or suit. The most common way grooms get their attire is by renting them, which means it's not very personal. Getting your man a tux or suit that is just for him will make him feel extra special and, if the suit is versatile enough, he can even enjoy it after the wedding day. 2. Schedule an all-natural men's facial for the groom a month before the wedding, followed by a mini-facial a week prior to the celebration. Organic and all-natural facials are the best way to remove dead skin, reduce pores, even out skin tones and get his face glowing as you prepare to take some of the best photographs of your life. If he's on the more masculine (less metro) side, he might be a little hesitant. Just tell him its your gift to him and will remain your little romantic secret til death do you part. (Note: Be sure to have the first facial a month before in case he has a reaction to the treatment and needs to recover. If it's all-natural, this shouldn't happen...but better to be safe than sorry.)
How do you find all-natural facial services?
Search for natural spas using Spa Finder and be sure to add the filter "eco spa" to your search parameters.

3. Plan a private organic or locally grown dinner for just the two of you 2 nights before your wedding. In the hustle and bustle of the final days, he may feel like the last in a long line of priorities for you. This tiny gesture will go a long way to reminding him that he's still the center of your world.
How do you get a locally-grown meal?
1. Make a home-cooked dinner using food from your local farmer's market
2. Find a locally-supportive restaurant in your area through Local Harvest
4. Book him a massage a few days before the wedding. This is one of the most effective ways to keep him calm and relaxed leading up to those last few stressful days. He may not appear to be rattled over your big day, but trust me, his nerves are doing a number on him inside.
5. Give a wedding gift to the groom. In the south, there is an old tradition in which the bride and groom exchange one luxurious, sentimental gift to each other. But you don't have to be a Southern Belle to follow suit. Select a lavish gift that your groom would absolutely love, but might not splurge and buy himself, and present it when you are alone on your wedding day.
P.S. Don't be disappointed if he doesn't have a gift for you in return. It's not what you getting, but what your giving that matters.
