The Mercedez Benz New York Fashion Week closed last Thursday, leaving us with endless possibilities for what may come to the wedding market this Fall. Over the next few posts, I'll disclose my own predictions as to which bridal fashion trends may appear this coming fall in response to what we saw on the runway in New York last week.
Fall Bridal Trend Prediction #1 - Boning
Zac Posen is exposing it all with waist hugging bodices that accentuate curves and flatter the figure. This fall, be on the lookout for wedding gowns with visible boning and firm, shaped bodices.
What makes this trend 'green'? Find a gown with boning that is removable, so that the top can be worn with jeans after the big day instead of sitting wasted in a preservation box. Add a 2"-3" belt and some everyday chains to make the look even more informal. Not only is this approach more sustainable, its more practical too!
