The Mercedez Benz New York Fashion Week closed on February 18th, leaving us with endless possibilities for what may come to the wedding market this Fall. Last week, I shared my second of several predictions as to how this Fall's bridal trends will be affected by New York's runway: skirt gathering. This week, let's take the party higher.
Fall Bridal Trend Prediction #3 - High Necks

Monique L'huillier is seeing something in high necks and we're placing bets that bridal designers will too. High necklines are a fashion staple in wedding gowns from turn of the century through to the 40s and, given the tremendous popularity in vintage-inspired weddings right now, we wouldn't be surprised to watch the trend move right up the neck.
From bateau (boat) to jewel to high neck, creeping necklines could be all the rage this Fall. Keep your eyes peeled and see if one of these styles doesn't strike your fancy.
How do you make this trend 'green'? Explore the world of handcrafted, custom bridal gowns and find this neckline there. By working with a custom dressmaker local to you, you are ensuring that labor for the gown is not shipped overseas and completed by sweatshop labor...plus, you'll also be supporting your local economy.
