Green Operations

We understand that being a “green” organization goes far beyond the products we offer and, if you are going to invest in this mission with us, you expect more. That’s why we have taken our commitment to preserve the environment to the next level.

In addition to factors related to our product and its delivery, we are also concerned about the weight of our existence…that is, our carbon footprint. We do this through energy reduction and carbon offsets.  Our studio is kept at a workable temperature through small, high efficiency space heaters and fans, and done so only during working hours. All of our equipment, including lights, tools, computers and printers are shut down when not in use. We always try to buy any needed equipment and furniture second hand and, when buying new, we look for the Energy Star certification.  We are meticulous about recycling all metal scraps and sweeps as well as any paper mail we receive and industry magazines we read.
