The Wedding Dress Pouch™

In the process of pulling together the Green Diva bridal collection, packaging was a top concern. Although we had already been using FSC-certified recycled jewelry boxes for our fashion line, our luxury line called for a softer solution in order to provide our gems and pearls the ultimate protection from nicks and scratches.

We scoured every supply source we could think of for quality fabric pouches that were eco-friendly. And, like most other things in this business, we came up empty handed. Nothing but mass-manufactured pouches produced with cheap fabrics overseas. Frustrated, we decided to take matters into our own hands..and the Wedding Dress Pouch™ was born.



Our adorable eco-friendly Wedding Dress Pouch™ is made with old, reclaimed weddings gowns purchased second hand. They are double-layered with fabric and handmade for a durable, lasting construction. The Wedding Dress Pouch™ is designed to protect pearls and gems from nicks and scratches. It is built with a drawstring closure that will also keep most air out of the bag when the jewelry is in storage. This is particularly helpful in preventing silver tarnish and safeguarding pearls from contact with chemicals.

The Wedding Dress Pouch™ is eco-conscious in five simple ways:

1. The pouch is crafted using reclaimed wedding gowns that would otherwise wind up in a landfill or on a dusty shelf. We are preventing unnecessary waste by practicing the art of reuse.

2. By using materials already in circulation for our packaging, we are preventing consumption of new goods.

3. We create the pouches by hand rather than in a factory, so there is little to no pollution emitted.

4. Because we are actually sending your jewels in durable storage built to be used for years to come, you will want to keep it and, thus, there will be no packaging waste for you to throw away.

5. The pouches are hand-crafted in-house by our master seamstress, so we can guarantee that there are no sweatshops or unfair trade practices involved with production.
